Nathan Borg is comparable in type to actors such as Joe Klocek and Rose Ayling-Ellis. As a Deaf actor with a cochlear implant and fluency in both English and Auslan, Nathan brings rare authenticity, emotional depth, and a captivating screen presence to his performances. His diverse background allows him to embody a wide range of roles, especially those exploring intersectional identities across the Queer, Disability, and bilingual communities.
Nathan is best known for his recurring role on Neighbours (Network 10), becoming the first series regular with disability to appear on the iconic Australian series. He also starred in the AACTA short Deaf film contender Strawberry Cheesecake (Bus Stop Films), the Screen Australia–backed feature My Melbourne, and appeared in the Auslan-led BONDS commercials. His theatre credits include Bump Into You and Deaf Enough which are two original works he co-created and headlined to sold-out seasons at Arts Centre Melbourne, Midsumma Festival, and Melbourne Fringe. One of these works is currently in development for a TV series adaptation.
Nathan is one of the most recognised actors in disability media. He serves as an ambassador for the Dylan Alcott Foundation and has featured on ListenABLE, Love Without Limits (SBS), TV WEEK, Studio 10, ABC News Breakfast, and House of Wellness, highlighting his advocacy across the film, television, and theatre industries.
In addition to his acting, Nathan works consistently as a Transport Assistant and Consultant for major Australian productions in development stages and continues his craft through ongoing training at Brave Studios.
