Elia Paz Correa is an emerging Puerto Rican/Pākehā Actor, Writer and Theatre Maker.
She began her creative journey with Massive Theatre Company’s Massive Nui Ensemble and has recently graduated from Toi Whakaari with a Bachelor of Performing Arts in Acting.
With a growing body of work across both theatre and screen her recent credits include The Undertow: Dog and Bone directed by Jamie McCaskill, The Haka Party Incident directed by Jason Te Kare and Chain Reaction a short film directed by Shane Rangi.
Elia is a versatile actor, with a strong interest in bold, satirical and character driven work. Her performances are grounded and fully committed.
Alongside performing, Elia is a passionate creator of original work. She has recently completed her debut season of El Colibrí at The NZ Fringe Festival 2026. Her work is characterised by a style that is dreamlike, confrontational and truthful.
