Alex Glenk is a Melbourne-based performer located in Richmond. After signing up for singing lessons at age 12 and attending music theatre classes, he made his professional music theatre debut as Friedrich Von Trapp in Gordon Frost Organisation’s 'The Sound Of Music' (2016). Throughout his schooling years, he was involved in a number of productions graduating from the Victorian College of the Arts Secondary School as part of their VCE Theatre Arts program. In 2020, Alex successfully completed his Diploma of Musical Theatre through Stage School Australia then moved to Ballarat to study a Bachelor of Performing Arts (Distinction) at Federation University Arts Academy, finishing his studies in 2023. Since graduating, Alex has had the privilege to be touring full-time with Brainstorm Productions performing educational theatre to over 100,000 primary and high school students across Victoria and South Australia about topics including bullying, online safety and wellbeing. Credits include ‘Sticks and Stones’ (F-6 & 7-11), ‘Being Brave’ and ‘The Flipside’ (dir. Jenny Johnson). When he’s not performing, Alex enjoys playing piano, video games, reading and learning silly skills like juggling and unicycling. Alex is a proud member of MEAA.
