Renaye Tamati is a British-born, New Zealand Māori actress who graduated from highly regarded Auckland training institution The Actors Program in 2018. Renaye appears in upcoming survival thriller DEEP WATER, starring Aaron Eckhart, as well as television series' VINCE, CAMP BE BETTER, THE BROKENWOOD MYSTERIES and THE GONE. On stage, Renaye is best known for her leading role as Titania/Hippolyta in the Pop Up Globe's acclaimed Māori-language adaptation of A MIDSUMMER NIGHT’S DREAM. Renaye is also an experienced martial artist, with training in karate, boxing and kung fu. She recently connected with her language and culture through a full immersion te reo Māori course, and is developing a solo show based on her experience growing up Māori in England.
