Trudi Ross

Notes

Trudi Ross is an actor and Comedian. She classically trained as an actor in London and upon completion went on to train in Stand-Up Comedy with the Amused Moose Comedy Company. She has since performed and worked in Theatre, film, Voice Over, Corporate, Stand-up in both London and Australia. Upon Return to Australia, Trudi started working with Mark David who manages Stand-up Comedians and runs Left of Centertainment in 2011 and hosted weekly Comedy Trivia nights in Sydney for several years and now specialises Corporate Events. In 2012 she started working with Arts Health Institute (AHI) as a Play-up Performer/Creative Engagement Specialist working weekly with people living with Dementia/Parkinson's/MS and Alzheimer's disease in Aged Care. She continues this work currently as in an independent contractor running a Theatrix program and humour engagement to bring joy to elders. A job she holds dear to her heart. Trudi also became a workshop facilitator with the AHI helping transform the playful self in aged care staff and improve culture. This work has led Trudi to developing her own corporate workshop called "One Act of Fun" to help individuals in business unlock their playful self, to become more authentic but to also further connection and improve team building. In 2015 she teamed up with Glasshouse Productions to perform in specialty musical theatre shows designed for touring RSL and Leagues Clubs around NSW - performing "Rocky Horror, Greece and Hairspray and originally written "Transoulvania". Her Stage credits stem from working with the Cambridge Shakespeare Festival in the UK to Shakespeare by the Sea in Sydney, modern and contemporary plays. Her Film credits include Charlies Farm an Aussie Horror Flick that also stared US actors Tara Reid (American Pie), Bill Moseley (Texas Chainsaw Massacre) and Kane Hodder (Jason X, Friday 13th). Boar, she shares the screen with some Aussie legends namely Ernie Dingo and John Jarratt. Her most recent film release in 2021 is "Love You Like That" where she has a supporting role alongside John Jarratt again (Wolf Creek), Mitchell Hope (Disney's Descendants), Chris Hayward and Steph Tisdale (Comedian). Trudi has also done commercials, corporate videos, photos shoots, voice over and short films. Trudi in incredibly versatile in her skill set. Has explored many different characters in her roles on stage and film and has an energetic physical presence on stage with her shows and her comedy. She engages audiences with a self-deprecating nature also tackling her observational views on the world and loves getting people laughing and having fun. She is considered a total team player in both theatre and on sets and has been reemployed by the same people on many occasions.
