BIO With extensive experience in both stage and screen, Alexander can be seen in recent feature films ‘A Second Chance: Rivals!’ as teenage heartthrob Jason McCloud, and ‘Awoken’(also featuring Erik Thomson). Recent theatre credits include Toby Ackland in the Australian classic ‘BlackRock’ by Nick Enright, and lively character roles in ‘Taming of the Shrew’ and ‘Love’s Labour’s Lost’ with the critically acclaimed Melbourne Shakespeare Company. Alexander is a graduate of the Film and Television Studio International, whose previous alumni include Luke Mitchell. His training also includes screen acting intensives with the ‘Real Life Actor’ Jeff Seymour, and Damian Walshe-Howling (Underbelly, Janet King); immersive Character Based Improvisation training with Rob Marchand; as well as mentorship from Tony Knight, who has trained actors such as Cate Blanchett and Sam Worthington at NIDA. A writer and producer, Alexander is currently creating a short film about the Australian meth crisis, a script he has adapted from novel form to the screen. Alexander is a classically trained pianist, self-taught guitarist, and has trained with master singing teachers Matthew Lee Robinson and Lisa Marie Parker. Alexander has also completed a law degree, is a trained cheesemaker and has taught Physical Education and Drama in high schools in Scotland and Australia. With a tendency to take on a lot, Alexander practices yoga to keep zen.
