Raised on the Northern Beaches of Sydney, Zephya is an authentic and energetic creative with a particular love for Shakespeare, Historical settings and Australian Theatre. She trained at Federation University’s Arts Academy in Ballarat, which instilled in her a strong desire to make professional-level theatre opportunities more accessible to regional communities. During her time at the Arts Academy, Zephya performed in Shakespeare’s As You Like It (Celia) and Cymbeline (Innogen), as well as Cyprinidae: Short Stories by Anton Chekhov (Nataylia/Ironema) and After Joan (Various). Alongside her studies, Zephya worked as a performer at Kryal Castle, where she adored playing various princesses, pirates and thieves. After graduating, Zephya founded a Ballarat-based independent theatre company, The Wanderers Theatre, with fellow Arts Academy alumni, and performed in their recent productions of A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Helena) and Vinegar Tom (Alice).
