Becca Hurd is an American actor, writer and comedian currently based in Sydney. Originally from Rhode Island, Becca received her BFA in acting from Elon University and then made her way to Chicago to train with the best improvisers in the world at The Second City, iO Theatre, The Annoyance, and CIC. In 2018, Becca moved to Australia to receive her MFA in Writing from the National Institute of Dramatic Art. Becca has toured her one-woman plays and comedy across Australia and the USA. While adapting her play The Other Side of 25 into a feature, she won the Austin Film Festival Virtual Pitch competition in 2020. The same year she wrote, co-directed and produced a short-film adaptation of the story. In 2022, Becca debuted her sophomore play, The Long Haul and was nominated for two Fringe awards. In 2024 she was shortlisted for the AiF Untapped program.
