CARMELINA DI GUGLIELMO
Born on Wurundjeri Land, to parents from Abruzzo Italy. Carmelina’s career spans 42 years. She has performed and toured all over Australia and Overseas with theatre companies, including Handspan, Malthouse, State Theatre S.A. Hit Productions, La Mama Theatre along with many Independent Companies. Her theatrical credits include: Wild Cherries, Facing Medea, The Omission of the Coleman Family, Hotel Bonegilla, The Good Person of Szechuan, Mag and Bag, Chapel Perilous, Barmaids, Mum’s the Word, Emma Celebrazione, Paradise, Wogs Out of Work, Running Up A Dress, Frida Kahlo, Cho Cho San and Secrets.
Carmelina is also a voice over Artist and during LOCKDOWN No.6 in Melbourne she was contracted to The Guardian for the series "The Guardian Reads', during which time she read over 13 News stories for this popular on air program.
Film and television credits include: Some Happy Day, Promised, Scopa, Neighbours, Glitch, Newton’s Law, Twentysomething, Carla Cametti P.D, Loves Brother, and Big Mamma’s Boy, in which she delighted audiences as Mamma.
