Jessica Lily is driven and passionate about telling compelling stories and representing the human condition in its most organic form. Her open mind and down to earth approach as well as her commitment to continuously develop her craft, allows her to be an ideal team player, where exploration can be freely discovered. Jessica recently won ‘best actor’ in her lead role on the award winning short ‘Crown of Flowers’, she is currently in Production shooting the Feature. She then recently played a lead role in an edgy black comedy called ‘Her Creature’ that won Audience Choice Award at the WA Made Film Festival. Jessica is set to shoot several projects this year including ‘Gorgon Blood’, ‘Off the Grid’ and ‘The Asp’. Some of her other credentials include the McCall’s ‘The Skeleton Tree’ and network production The Claremont Murders, Canal Road, TVC’s for QBE Insurance and Bankwest, Verity in the Feature Film Spectrum and she also acted in George Millers Norma at His Majesty’s Theatre. One of her highlights was meeting Quentin Tarantino at the Night Cat in Melbourne. Jessica Lily is a truly natural and captivating actor. Whilst living in Sydney she was short-listed for a lead role in a major Australian TV Drama ‘Schapelle’ aired nationwide on channel 9, the casting director was so impressed with her work she invited her to audition for a lead role on Neighbours. She has a Bachelor of Contemporary Arts Degree in Drama a Graduate Diploma in Education, studied Aboriginal Musical Theatre through WAPPA in Broome and Advanced Screen Acting at NIDA in Sydney. She was also employed by John Curtin College of the Arts in Fremantle as a Specialist Drama Teacher. In Melbourne she completed a Production Internship at RMITV Studios. She was then employed as a Director and Actor at Orion Studios. She later went on to produce her own online comedy TV series with an AFI award winning director attached as well as Acting alongside some of Melbourne’s best-known comedians.
