David describes himself as a massively underdeveloped genius; one who doesn’t like the word pungent, and believes luck is a state of mind. Since graduating from Theatre Nepean and NIDA (Ned Ingelburn’s Drama Academy), David has been embarrassing himself on stage and television throughout the world as one half of The Umbilical Brothers. This has resulted in around six-ish theatre shows, and performances from off-Broadway to the middle east – six continents last count. The Umbilical Brothers have built up a fanatic toddler and late night potato eating college student fan base with their TV shows The Upside Down Show & Maisy. They have appeared after James Brown at Woodstock ’99, on Lettermen, Leno, Colbert and before The Queen. Their television shows, stage shows and DVD’s have won them applause and critical acclaim ranging from the internationally impressive to the entirely unknown. These include two BAFTA’s, an Emmy, Logie, Critic’s Choice, Helpman, a number of Mo Awards and a Promax- whatever that is. Seriously, we have one. Google it.
