Born and raised in Naarm/Melbourne, Joshua (he/him) has a background in dance and classical voice. Joshua made his professional debut in the Victorian Opera’s (VO) 'The Magic Flute' (Vale Richard Gill AO), performing in four further operas with VO and Opera Australia prior to 2014. Other credits include 'A Golem Story' (dir. Michael Kantor), 'Company A' dance review (chor. Kelly Aykers) and John Forman’s 'New Year’s Eve Gala' (chor. Dana Jolley). Prior to his Bachelor of Fine Arts (Music Theatre) at The Victorian College of the Arts (VCA), Joshua attended Showfit (2017) and Active Performance Studios (2018). At VCA Joshua played Dempsey in 'The Hello Girls' (dir. Jason Langley), and was dance captain/Carmen in 'Sweet Charity' (dir. Jayde Kirchert). Joshua is honoured to have received the Dr. Andrew McAliece and Dr Richard Simmie Award for 2020, and the 2021 Ron and Margaret Dobell Foundation Industry Award. He made his professional music theatre debut in Victorian Opera’s 'The Who’s Tommy' in February 2022, followed by the Australian tour of 'Mary Poppins' (Michael Cassel Group & Cameron Mackintosh). Joshua is proudly represented by Ian White Management.
