Befrin Ax Jackson
The multi-instrumental, multilingual and Meisner-trained Befrin Ax Jackson has played an array of roles ranging from drama to thriller and comedy, working in major Australian film (directed under Ana Kokkinos, Fadia Abboud and Julie Kalceff among others), shorts and in dozens of contract and recurring jobs. She is an experienced voice-over artist in both Australia and overseas, having produced, written and performed both on public radio and in webseries.
Befrin studied Creative Storytelling, Meisner Method Acting and Music production under the following names: Olle Svalander, Billy Milionis, Cecilia Nordlund, and under guidance of comedian and producer Sara Andersson.
She recently worked on titles such as House of Gods (2023), Here Out West (2021), Opening Night (2022) and Triage (2021).
She was born in Sweden, to Kurdish refugees and speaks four languages fluently, as well as an additional three (!!!) languages which she speaks intermediately. She is a singer/songwriter and has performed musically on several stages in both Sweden and Australia.
When Befrin isn’t acting, she delves into community work. She is highly invested in humanitarian causes. She has worked with children, animals and communities in several South East Asian countries as well as in outback Australia. She enjoys spending time in nature, yoga, pilates, longboarding, the company of animals, meditation, travelling, and learning new languages.
