Currently, Lauren is the understudy Priscilla Presley, Gladys Presley and Ann-Margret/Marion in Elvis: a Musical Revolution (David Venn Enterprises). Previously, Lauren was a swing in Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Cinderella (Opera Australia). After studying her Bachelor of Musical Theatre at the QLD Con, she toured Australia and Japan in Singin’ in the Rain (Michael Cassel Group) and went on to Dance Captain productions of Bright Star (Pursued by Bear) and Sweeney Todd (Life Like Company). Notable performances include Lovey Howell in Gilligan’s Island (Hum Drum Comedy) and her improvisational comedy with Melbourne comedy troupe, Impromptunes. Lauren has toured Europe, Australasia and The Middle East with Nickelodeon’s Paw Patrol Live! as the Associate Choreographer, originating the role of Rocky in the Australian tour of PPL Great Pirate Adventure. In 2020, Lauren & her husband, Anthony created acclaimed children’s group, Story Surprise. The brand comprises a hit YouTube channel, live touring shows, one of Australia’s most popular children’s podcasts (as recognised by the Aussie Podcast Awards), and original music on ABC Kids Listen and Kinderling Kids Radio. Lauren has vitiligo on her neck which is the loss of pigmentation in the skin. She has grown to love her vitiligo and is empowered by the industry’s response to embracing diverse performers, including herself. She is proud to be an ambassador for vitiligo and to help make the industry a more inclusive place. By performing without covering her vitiligo, she hopes to remind all people that they are beautiful in the skin they’re in.
