Zola Bulan, 14, is an emerging young actor, singer, and performer with strong musical theatre training that began at age seven. She dreams of becoming a professional singer and actor and recently appeared on screen in the film adaptation of David Walliams’ best-selling book FING, playing as one of Myrtle’s classmates (with credits). Zola has performed in numerous theatre productions across Sydney and Brisbane, taking on notable roles such as Little Cosette (Les Misérables, 2021), Annie (Annie the Musical, 2022), Matilda (Matilda JR, 2023), Little Ti Moune (Once on This Island, 2022), Brigitta (The Sound of Music, 2023), Young Elsa (Frozen JR, 2023), Young Fiona (Shrek JR, 2024), Violet Beauregard (Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, 2025), Squiggle (Lyle Lyle Crocodile Musical, 2025) Liesl, and Mother Abbess (Sound of Music – Youth Production, 2026). Her achievements include multiple awards across Sydney and Brisbane eisteddfods, two Gold Palm Theatre Award nominations, and First Prize with Honors at the International Youth Music Competition in New York (2024), where she performed in the winners’ recital. Zola has also appeared at major events including the Junior Theatre Festival (2022–2025), Brisbane’s Anywhere Festival (2023), and the Lord Mayor’s Concert at Brisbane City Hall (2023 & 2024). Driven, talented, and passionate, Zola continues to grow her craft as she works toward a bright future. She attends Griffith University Young Conservatorium of Music, JS Vocal and Performance and heading to Los Angeles for Screen Actors Intensive 2026 with Australian Institute of Performing Arts.
