A coming-of-age romantic comedy. Exploring the small everyday events that can evoke feelings of gender dysphoria, as well as euphoria, and the effects of friends and family. Please include: • Slate, to begin with, name, age, agency, height • Slate, to include side to front (actors physical profile) • Slate, chat to camera: tell us why you are applying to be a part of the Diversity Showcase (thirty seconds) • Please do not wear clothes with logos • Please make sure your test is no longer than five minutes • Please make sure the camera phone is held correctly: horizontally with the camera facing up and not upside down • Please make sure you or your agent watch the footage back for sound and picture quality and that its working correctly, before uploading to Showcast

Synopsis:
The 2021 Screen Diversity Showcase will comprise of 5 distinct, peer-reviewed projects - all to be developed as part of the program in the form of a five minute proof of concept. Whilst the projects in their intended forms will have a larger ensemble of characters, these proof of concepts are restricted to containing 2 - 3 characters. The role descriptions will give you an idea of the creator's vision for the casting. Please feel free to audition for any of the roles, even if you don't perfectly fit the description. We would encourage all disabled artists, First Nations and POC artists and members of the LGBTQI+ community to audition.
